Pet Cancer Awareness

National Pet DayMay is Pet Cancer Awareness Month and although we hate to think of any pet being not at his happiest and healthiest, as pet parents it’s important to know the signs of canine cancer. gives us insight on signs of canine cancer and what to look for:

  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • An enlarging or changing lump
  • Abdominal distension
  • Chronic weight loss
  • Chronic vommitting or diarhea
  • Unexplained bleeding
  • Cough
  • Lameness
  • Straining to urinate
  • Oral odor

If you see any of these symptoms in your dog, consult your vet right away. Know your dogs behavior and routine so you can quickly identify when something is “off” with their health or behavior.
