Candy Corn Frozen Dog Treats

frozen-14-titleWho doesn’t love a seasonal snack? Why should our dogs be the exception? No reason at all! Here’s a recipe courtesy of for a candy corn frozen dog treat!

  • 1-1.5 cups plain, non-fat yogurt
  • 1-2 small bananas
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 3 oz paper cups

  • Put a spoonful of yogurt in the bottom of the paper cups (about 1/2 cup total)
  • Freeze for 1-1.5hours
  • Add a spoonful of pumpkin on top of the frozen yogurt
  • Freeze for 1-1.5hours
  • Mash 1-2 bananas, add spoonful of the banana on top of the frozen pumpkin
  • Freezw for 1-1.5 hours
  • Peel off the paper cup and serve

*Modified from the original recipe to contain less yogurt and to streamline the process. You can also forgo the extra freeze and layer carefully, your dog won’t mind if the colors aren’t in a perfect line, it all looks grey to them anyway!

Bon Appétit!
