Dog Days of Summer

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANow that the summer is winding down and school is almost back in session, we thought it would be a good time to look back over the fun we’ve had with our Campers this summer.

Campers large and small live for the sunshine and the swim and we’re more than happy to play lifeguard on duty.

Nothing is more exciting for the dogs, (o.k., for the counselors too), than a summer of swimming. There’s something about our bone and paw shaped pools that just screams summer and you can barely get the water in the pools before the dogs start going crazy, as seen in this video as American Bulldog, Casey, urges the hose to hurry up!

At the beginning of the summer, our shy new daycare member Wilma got her paws wet in the small play yard, but now that she’s grown and found her confidence…she’s swimming with the big dogs! Her partner in crime, (pictured right) black lab Finnegan, also graduated to the “big yard” this summer.

We don’t agree with breed discrimination, but this is one of many photos proving that most Labrador Retrievers do indeed, love the water.

We worked on our tan, and got stylish with some fun frames, as modeled here by our #1 tanner, Bernie.

And we celebrated the holidays in style, as seen by one of our original daycare members, Sonny.

We swam, sunned, celebrated, graduated, made new friends and had a blast. Thanks to all our Campers and their parents who made this summer so PAW-some!
